Seasons of Sisterhood: How friendships change and deepen with each phase of life.

Welcome to our Women In Business Council's open forum discussion with women business leaders who share ideas on ways to manage business successfully. The object of the meeting is to empower professional business women to develop and execute solutions to overcome the challenges they face in their business or professional environment. **This is a hybrid event** Members can join in-person at the Chamber OR via Zoom (receive link after registration). This event is exclusively for women.


Our Facilitator is: 
Kim Lea, Ed. S.
Kimberly Lea, Ed.S., has over 30 years of higher education and leadership experience in Palm Beach County. She is an award-winning community leader with a passion for connecting people and ideas. She uses intentional collaboration and targeted messages to implement high value programs and meaningful experiences for her clients and stakeholders. Kim specializes in strategic planning, executive coaching, leadership development, and keynote speaking to help large and small organizations optimize results. She is a lifelong learner and curiosity curator with a focus on helping others become their best selves.

Kim currently serves as the Executive Director of Achieve Palm Beach County which advocates, collaborates, and leads the community in creating an educational environment which supports all students to attain credentials past high school graduation.  In Kim’s previous roles as Campus President for Keiser University’s West Palm Beach location for over 11 years, she gained extensive understanding of higher education, accreditation, and creating teams which foster success. Kim also previously served as a faculty member and eventually as an Associate Dean of Career and Technical Education at Palm Beach State College.  

Kim is an active board member of several impactful organizations including the Economic Council of Palm Beach County, Education Foundation of Palm Beach County, Women's Foundation of Florida, and Leadership Palm Beach County. She is a Leadership Palm Beach County graduate (2016) and is in the current Education class for Leadership Florida.  Kim has served on local and national panels examining issues facing higher education, leadership and workforce readiness, and lifelong learning to support a variety of organizations dedicated to helping women, families, and education.  

Kim holds her Education Specialist Degree (Ed.S.) from Keiser University, her master’s degree (M.B.A) from Florida Atlantic University and her bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. In 2013, Kim received the Jesse S. Heiges Distinguished Alumnus Award from Shippensburg University.  In 2017, she received the Woman of Worth (WOW) Award from the Central Palm Beach Chamber, and in 2018 she received the Women’s Chamber of Commerce Giraffe Award, which is given to community leaders who stick their necks out to help and empower women in our community. Kim was also honored to also received receive the 2019 Leadership Excellence Award from Leadership Palm Beach County.  Kim lives in Jupiter and has four adult children who live and work in Palm Beach County. In addition to her advocacy work for Achieve Palm Beach County, Kim recently established her own consultancy and has partnered with Vistage Florida and Predictive Index to coach and lead peer groups for local CEOs.


Our Women In Business Council is a working council of the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce that promotes networking and education for professional women and women entrepreneurs while highlighting the women leaders in the community.

Event Cancellation Policy:
A notice of cancellation must be received by emaiwithin 48 hours (2 business days) prior to the event. NO verbal cancellations will be accepted. All cancellation notices received within 48 hours (2 business days) prior to the event will be given an event credit of equal value. Event credits will be  applied upon request and are good for up to 1 year from the purchase date. There are NO REFUNDS.
 
NOTE:
ArtiGras Tickets, Loggerhead Triathlon Registrations, and The Leadership Awards Dinner do not qualify for an event credit upon cancellation. Contributions or gifts to the Palm Beach North Chamber of  Commerce  are  not  deductible  as  charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
