Event Description:
Join Producing Artistic Director/Chief Executive, Andrew Kato on select Saturdays this season, where he will guide you through the process of producing the 2024/25 Season, Extraordinary Journeys! Each class will focus on one of the upcoming productions, and will cover topics like casting, set design, and more. Take your seats with Andrew and a diverse group of panelists who will share their expertise, experience, and insight on how we create our shows. Inspired by “Ted Talks,” come to one lecture, or attend them all. Everyone is welcome regardless if you are a ticket holder or not! Classes will take place at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre and will last approximately one hour. Registration is required and seating is limited
November 2: Double Feature: From Discover to Deceived As we begin our new season, get insight into the many new productions and events that have been added to our schedule. Then, learn about our female empowered North American premiere of Deceived, based on the play and movie Gaslight.
November 9: Journey Through Design With seven productions in our season this year, our Production Center and Costume Shop started work in early summer to create the eclectic array of designs. Enjoy a preview of the diverse designs you will see on our stages.
December 7: Quadruple Threats Most productions rely on casting actors who have diverse skills to bring their characters to life. Once - A Musical, takes this to the next level requiring most of its performers to act, sing, dance and play an instrument.
December 14: Life is a Cabaret! Creating a cabaret performance, a form of entertainment featuring music, song, and recitation, is a special form of theatrical storytelling. Join us for a special preview of the talent featured in our upcoming Cabaret Series.
