FRIENDS OF THE ARTS OF JUNO BEACH TO HOST “IT’S ELECTRIC, IT’S ECLECTIC”
LOCAL ARTISTS’ EXHIBITION BEGINNING APRIL 12, 2024

Friends of the Arts of Juno Beach presents “It’s Electric, It’s Eclectic” art exhibition featuring three talented Juno Beach artists. The exhibition will be held at the Juno Beach Town Center from April 12th to May 28th, with an opening night artists’ reception on Friday, April 12th. The exhibition will feature over 20 pieces of art including abstract paintings, photography, and mixed media drawings.

The three artists that will be showcased are:

Ken Craig of Juno Beach is a retired FPL Material Scientist. His interest in photography began in 1964 when he purchased a Canon film camera to document failure analyses (i.e. technical photography). In the 1990’s, Ken purchased his first digital camera and has taken over 40,000 images since. After volunteering at Grassy Waters Preserve, Ken found himself wading in waist-deep Florida swamp water to capture nature shots. After extensive experimentation to achieve desired results, his finished photographs are extremely sharp-focused and coated in epoxy resin to enhance their depth and color.

Tom Sedito, a 33-year resident of Juno Beach is the former owner of Cabinet Encounters in Loggerhead Plaza, Juno Beach. Recently retired, he decided to test his artistic skills with classes at the Lighthouse Gallery in Tequesta. From there, he joined the Artists’ Studio and Gallery of Tequesta as one of their 11 artists. His work features animals through the use of mixed mediums.

Cy Seymour is a 94-year-old Juno Beach resident and was the owner of ‘Service Art Studio’ in New York City which created artwork and photography for world renowned advertising agencies such as J. Walter Thompson, BBDO, and Grey on accounts which included Chanel, Revlon, General Foods and Volkswagen Beetle. After Cy retired from a 40-year career in advertising, he was yearning to do something creative again and began painting. Influenced by abstract expressionism, Cy’s paintings are created in a freeform style with meticulously crafted color combinations.

The public is invited to the opening night reception which will be held at the Juno Beach Town Center, located at 340 Ocean Drive in Juno Beach, on Friday, April 12th from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Guests will be able to view the artwork and meet the artists. Refreshments will be available. Free parking is available at the Town Center. RSVP to junobeacharts@gmail.com requested. The artwork will be on display at the Town Center through May 29th.

Friends of the Arts of Juno Beach is a volunteer organization supported by the Town of Juno Beach to enrich the lives of its residents through the arts.
